fudo finds friday: cakewalk

Cakewalk Desserts Etsy Shop Pies on a Stick It’s that time of year when pie is on everyone’s mind. Pumpkin, apple, sweet potato, pecan…are you hungry yet? What if you want a tiny taste of pie without having to eat the whole slice? This is hard to do when you open your refrigerator and you are staring down at a whole, glorious, scrumptious nine inch, deep dish pumpkin pie? Who has that kind of self control?! We sure don’t. But, we’ve found the perfect solution to this portion control dilemma: Pie Pops. You will find the most adorable, easy to eat, bite sized pies at Cakewalk Desserts. “Pie Pops are portable mini pies on a stick baked with a variety of pie fillings and crust designs. You can have your pie crusts solid, or choose from one of our many cut-out patterns…. Flavors include: Apple, Cherry, Strawberry, Blackberry, Blueberry, Chocolate Cream, Key Lime, Peach, Island Banana, Peanut Butter, Pecan and Pumpkin.” Having a variety of pie pops on Thanksgiving will add to the festive atmosphere. We can think of a number of ways to present the pie pops, such as arranged in a decorate vase or displayed on a seasonal platter. Perhaps you could get creative, making a Styrofoam turkey (which would have to be rather large and balanced) in which the pie pops could be used as the feathers. However, we think that these pie pops are fabulous as place cards. All you would need to do is print out your guests name, cut out as a small banner and affix it to the pie pop stick. What a pleasing addition to your Thanksgiving Day table that all of your guests will love. These pie pops aren’t just for Thanksgiving. Pie pops would be perfect at almost any occasion such as birthday parties, showers, weddings and graduations. Who wouldn’t love to receive these delicious treats when they are feeling blue? Don’t forget all those teachers and co-workers during the holidays. These cute little pops are a great gift that won’t break your budget. Cakewalk Desserts offers gift sets. The sets will include one dozen (12) pie pops that are individually wrapped and tied with a festive ribbon then packaged in a Cakewalk gift box. Cakewalk When you visit Cakewalk Desserts you will also find a wonderful selection of ever popular cake pops. “Cake Pops are essentially tiny truffles of moist cake on a stick dipped in a hard candy shell and garnished with varieties of sprinkles or chocolate drizzle. Choose from eight standard flavors, with candy shells that can be completely customized! Flavors include: Simply Vanilla, Haute Chocolate, Strawberry Fields, Red Velvet, and Lemon Poppy seed, Triple Chocolate, PB&C and Couture Coconut. We also have six gourmet cake pops flavors which include: Chai Cranberry, Tangerine Cheesecake, Mochaccino, Lavender Honey, Mint Green-Tea and Key Lime.” They are located in Laguna Niguel, California and sold online. With all the fun colors and flavors of the cake pops you’ll be able to create a festive mood no matter what occasion. And, like the pie pops we find that these cake pops would be the perfect place card on any celebratory table. So let your fingers guide you over to Cakewalk Desserts. Don’t let another day go by. Place your order so that you will have the perfect pop at your holiday celebration. Photo Credit: Cakewalk Desserts.

OH, MY – These are the cutest things I’ve ever seen!! I want to buy them, pull off the lollipop sticks and pretend I’m a giant. A giant who eats itty bitty pie.

Or perhaps I can go the more practical route and use them as place cards. Yea, that sounds much more normal.

I lived in Laguna Hills most of my life… But I’m guessing this place opened AFTER I moved, shame, cryin shame! Cuz I’d haul my butt down there right now! Ok, but I’m still only like 20 minutes away, so I’m gonna have to swing by!
